Nothing to update about, I still don't have a job (still looking) and I've been dumped by my 'boyfriend' (in parentheses because it only lasted like a month and neither of us were very emotionally invested in each other so it's no great loss) since my last post. School has been good, I've been getting my grind on and doing what I gotta to keep my head over water.
I just wanted to share this song which has been giving me so many a FEELINGS recently:
Thug Nasty
This be the spot for the homies Dj Nocturnal, Potter crazy beezy, J Squad, & Chipmunk. Only the real thugs come to thug mansion, we need a spot were we can kick it. A spot where we belong. Where thugs get in free & you gotta be a G.

Sorry for the lack of activity on this blog, I've been busy doing actual adult things!
2 weeks ago I stopped working for the carnival since school was starting up and I couldn't travel with them anymore.
I also started dating my boss practically as soon as I stopped working for him. I know what you're thinking, 'this sounds like a fanfiction I've read online'. But no, I'm really dating my 30 year old, ex-boss. I don't want to talk about him too much on here since this is a pretty new relationship and, as I've mentioned before, my first ever. As time goes by and I get a little more comfortable and used to the idea of having a 'boyfriend' (oh god, I thought the day would never acually come) I might start to blog about him (and us) a bit. Or maybe not, whatever.
Thursday through Sunday I had a job cleaning upholstery at USD. Not much to say about the job, it was just a 4 day thing buuuuuuut I'm excited to say this job helped me make rent for september! I will officially be living on my own for another month.
Slowly but surely it seems like I'm being integrated into the world of adults, paying rent and acquiring a boyfriend? Kids can't do that kind of stuff!

Sexual harrasment in the work area is not a joke
So as soon as I made my previous post I realized I should probably specify on the altercation I had at work.
It has been dealt with and I'm not embarrassed about it so I think here's a good place to talk about it and sexual harassment at work in general.
First of all, sexual harassment is never OK. It's defined as 'the persistent unwelcome directing of sexual remarks andlooks, and unnecessary physical contact at a person, usually awoman, esp in the workplace', as I'd mentioned in my earlier post everyone at the carnival is very friendly so I didn't get too freaked out when he'd put his hand on my shoulder/back even though it did make me a little uncomfortable.
I work in the buoy pitch (sometimes the Duck Pond, which is the big money maker) and he works in the water race, and on Saturday he thought it would be appropriate to make a joke about me 'loving to be wet' over the microphone.
All I could think to do was turn around and tell him 'Stop, that's disgusting'. He realized that he made a mistake and that we are not on that level and tried to make non sexual jokes over the mic to get me to laugh it off or something. Luckily only one other guy was there to hear his 'joke' because otherwise I'm sure that would have made me a lot more upset than it did.
When my boss came around to check up on me and see if everything was cool I told him what happened, and he said he'd deal with it. I didn't get an official apology from the guy, which would have been nice but definitely not necessary.
I know this guy has made these kinds of jokes about the other women that he works with and I know a lot of them let it slide (because they probably think it's no big deal and that these jokes don't really hurt anyone) so I don't think this incident is really going to change the way he acts towards his coworkers but at least I did my part and feel a little better that he'll at least leave me alone.

Everyday I'm hustling
Since last updating I've continued to work at the carnival (Wednesday-Sunday), which is tough but is quick , easy money. If you know how to hustle. I don't want to make it seem like I'm a pimp or anything but I'm pretty good at getting people to spend money at my booth just by smiling at them and being friendly, that's kind of hustling right?
Working for the carnival has been great so far, pretty much every one there is friendly and very, very nice so I haven't had any trouble fitting in. There's only one time I've had trouble so far, which was when a male coworker made a very inapropriate joke about me over the mic at his booth. I told my boss and he said he'd deal with it, which I assume he did since the guy has since stopped making those kinds of jokes and tries to be 'gentlemanly' (it makes him seem like more of a pushover imo) since. I didn't get a formal apology though, which I would have liked.
I had a bizzare interview at Pizza Hut yesterday which literally lasted about 7 minutes. They called me 2 hours later to say I didn't get the job, which lead me to believe they'd already found someone great before interviewing me and were just trying to be polite. OH WELL. I'm filling out some online applications right now.
I've also registered for the local community college and have a counselors appointment on Tuesday to help me choose calsses since I'm too dumb to do it by myself. So there's that.

Today I worked with roadies.
So far my job hunt has been unsuccessful but my sister was able to hook me up with a gig at a carnival for the weekend, starting today.
In case you're wondering what carnies are like I can give you a short description. They're like theater kids (which can be good if you yourself are a theater kid or bad if you're not a theater kid) but older, at the ripe age of 18 I was the youngest one there.
They all smoke, every single one of them. I don't hate people that smoke, it's their right to do what they want but since everyone there smokes they go ahead and do it right in the middle of all the commotion forcing everyone else to inhale their second hand smoke. As you can imagine I was not a happy carnie.
I only worked 3 hours today, but they were 3 long hours of hard physical labor.
I won't get paid until the end of the weekend when all the work is done, so far I've got $20.

The new blog of old Krisitn...a
This blog started off as a senior year English project, when the project ended and my group got our 'A' I was reluctant to delete it because of the sweet blog name we'd picked out. And now I finally think I've found a use for it, a personal blog for me to use. Original, I know.
At first it seemed like a great idea because I'm really a cool chick but then I couldn't think of a single thing to write in here. I came to the realization that I am, in fact, a loser. I don't want to get too long winded so I'll sum it up for you:

| In case you're wondering how much of a loser I am: This is the only boy that will willingly kiss me |
- I've left my mother's house at the age of 18 with 2 1/2 months because of relationship problems I had with her
- I'm unemployed
- I'm currently unregistered for community college (I had to drop the one I was registered in because of the move) (and the fact that I'm going to community college is pretty lame in itself)
- I've never had a boyfriend

Flashbacks
The whole novel pretty much has to do with flashbacks all throughout. Do you think this helps better establish the overall mood and tone of the book or do you think it just confuses the reader on what is going on. Personally I get confused really easily when I am reading it and I have to backtrack to try and find out what the heck is going on in the book.
